Malaysia’s UMT Delegates Visit BMU for Academic Collaboration


Dhaka, 11 August 2026

A high-level delegation from Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) visited Bangladesh Maritime University (BMU) Pallabi Campus to provide an opportunity to discuss potential areas of collaboration, including joint research and publication initiatives, faculty and student exchange programmes, academic partnerships, curriculum development, and other mutually beneficial activities.

The team, led by Professor Ts. Dr. Muhammad Zaly Shah bin Muhammad Hussein, FCILT, President, The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport Malaysia (CILT Malaysia), inspired BMU students to pursue higher education at the marine-focused premier university in Malaysia.

The programme wrapped up with a vote of thanks by Commodore Md Benjir Mahmud (E), NPP, ndc, psc, BN, Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, BMU. Nominated students took part in the programme, and both parties expressed optimism about the success of mutual collaboration.
