Office of the Inspector of Academies/Institutes

Bangladesh Maritime University College, Academy and Institute Affiliation Statute, 2018 has been formulated on January 22, 2018 with the approval of His Excellency the President and the Chancellor of the University for conducting activities related to affiliation of the University in accordance with Section 5(3) of BMU Act, 2013.

According to Section 5(1) of BMU Act, 2013, the academic activities of affiliated academies or institutes related to on-site supervision, control, management, development etc. are conducted under the university. Office of the Inspector of Academies/Institutes plays the role of focal point for the affiliated academies/ institutes and conducts regular inspections for improving overall academic standard.

Responsibilities

• Examine the applications for affiliation and renewal of affiliation, and provide opinions and recommendations to the Affiliation Committee after review.
• Inspect the affiliated institutions as needed, but at least once a year, and generate report.
• Coordinate and ensure the efficiency of educational activities at colleges, academies, and institutes, and, when necessary, perform duties as a member of the Academic Council as directed by the Vice-Chancellor.
• Ensure compliance with the affiliation statute by all affiliated institutions, provide advice on amendments, additions, or revisions, and arrange for its approval from time to time.

Affiliated Academies and Institutes:
