The two students of Bangladesh Maritime University Nadia Sultana, Naval Architecture and Offshore Engineering and Ronit Kumar Roy, Oceanography and Hydrography proudly secured the 1st Runner-up position in a National Poster Competition at the National Coastal Convention 2025 held at the Bangladesh Military Museum in Dhaka and the landmark event was organized by the Participatory Research & Action Network (PRAAN) on December 13 and 14, 2025. The title of their poster was, “The Swatch of No Ground: Preserving a Himalayan Archive and Cetacean Sanctuary”. The honourable Vice-Chancellor of Bangladesh Maritime University, Rear Admiral Dr. Khandakar Akhter Hossain, NBP, NUP, ndc, psc, PhD along with Commodore M Mamunur Rashid, (TAS), BCGMS, afwc, psc, BN, Dean of the Faculty of Maritime Governance & policy and Commodore A K M M Sherafullah, (H), NGP, BCGMS, psc, BN, Dean of the Faculty of Earth and Ocean Science congratulate them for their achievement. It reflects a strong spirit of collaboration and is expected to open new opportunities in oceanographic research. We wish them every success in their future endeavors.
