Recently the Department of Oceanography and Hydrography under the Faculty of Earth and Ocean Science of Bangladesh Maritime University (BMU) has enrolled two overseas adjunct faculties who are very qualified professionals on their specific fields and playing an extraordinary role in the global context of their fields.

As part of that initiative, Mr. Enamul Haque, Director, Wipro Ltd, London, UK   joined BMU Family recently. Mr. Enam is an industry veteran and thought leader with almost 30 years of experience in the IT industry. Throughout his career, Enamul has worked with some of the world’s most reputable companies including Wipro, Nokia, Microsoft, Capgemeni, HCL Technology including UNHCR and ITU. He is the pioneer team member for the first cloud based unmanned Autonomous ship navigation initiatives of the world.

Recently, Mr. Enam has conducted two online sessions from London on “AI & Data Science overview” and “Ocean Sensor to AI insights”. These sessions are being conducted as a part of 'Data Collection & Analysis' course on BSc (Hons) in Oceanography and BSc (Hons) in Fisheries. The students of BSc (Hons) in Oceanography and BSc (Hons) in Fisheries program took part in those online classes from the BMU auditorium. Dean of the Faculty of Earth and Ocean Science Commodore A K M M Sherafullah (H), NGP, BCGMS, psc, BN and other faculty members of the faculty were present in the classes.
